Petey's Story...
Petey - Love Bug!!!
Petey is a stunning young adult and one of the absolute sweetest dogs we've ever met. That's saying something! He loves to play with other dogs and is very gentle with children. He would do wonderfully in a home any animals. He loves absolutely everyone. Petey is very relaxed and comfortable in any setting. He's a "festival" kind of dog and enjoys being out and meeting others. Petey has great house manners, is crate trained, leash trained, comes and sits on command. Petey wants to please and connects instantly to you. He is very affectionate and wants nothing more than to be by your side. He's a bit of a couch potato and prefers lounging at your feet to chasing a tennis ball but when the other pups want to play, Petey will join in for some fun. Petey actually had a DNA test and the results are Staffie / Pointer / Spitz / Bulldog mix. He weighs 50 - 60 pounds and is full grown. Petey is pure sweetness and would love to have a family to call his own. Petey is 1 year old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Austin American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer for sale in Austin, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
