Moonpie in Oklahoma's Story...
Introducing Moonpie…a super sweet blue and white 9 year old little girl. She loves to welcome you home with a ‘hello’ greeting (which for us is the behavior we are working on.) Combine that with her still slightly curvy figure and she is all cuteness. She was quite heavy when she entered rescue and has been a real champ about her new diet and exercise program! She is getting slimmer, and feeling better, every day-Go Moonpie!

Moonpie is very affectionate. She loves to give kisses to let you know she loves you. She loves her afternoon belly and back rubs too. Even though she loves her attention, she does need a little "Moonpie" time. She likes to take afternoon naps in her bed/kennel and she likes her night time space too-she sleeps in her own bed all night. She enjoys playing chase with the other dogs in her foster home, although a good long rest is always in order after those. She also loves her walks and knows exactly what time she is supposed to get one.

Moonpie has been a wonderful little foster and one of the most laid back iggies we have seen. She is fully vetted and ready for her forever home. She will be down to her optimal weight in no time and can’t wait to show off her new figure!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moonpie in Oklahoma, a Argyle Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Argyle, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Argyle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Argyle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Argyle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Argyle paves the way for another one to be saved.
