"ALFIE" (Alfredo) is a creamy white, big puppy boy born who was born on March 3, 2013. Alfie comes to us from a loving and caring family that could no longer care for him. Thank you, Nancy!
When Alfie was purchased from a Breeder in Northern Minnesota, Nancy and her family were told that Alfie was a "Poodle".
We are not sure if that is true as this particular Breeder is known for her "Designer dogs". Thanks to a generous donation, we are having a DNA test (Wisdom Panel) done to determine if Alfie is a Poodle.
Normally we do NOT do this, but Alfie had some behavior issues, so we wanted to make sure on how to deal with them in relationship to his breed (make sense?).
While Alfie has been with us, he has a happy-go-lucky attitude and greatly enjoys the companionship of all our Poodles who will play, run and jump with him.
Alfie would be a perfectly wonderful companion if you have another dog who is also looking for someone to run and play with! He also greatly enjoys being picked up to be cuddled and loved by everyone.
A positive, loving attitude (plus treats!) for his dominate, but yet gentle personality has melted this boys disposition into a PERFECT puppy for the right family. Previous dog/puppy experience will be required. Please no small children.
This is a puppy, so housetraining is being enforced with a simple routine of which he is quickly learning where to go and relive himself. He has also been keeping his kennel clean all the time! We will provide this information and his schedule.
Alfie is just 6 months old and weighs a healthy 9 pounds, and is already 12" measuring from the floor to his shoulders. He is going to be a "Miniature" Poodle which is larger than an "Toy" and smaller than a "Standard".
The DNA test has been done and mailed in. We will know and post those results in the next few weeks
Alfie's $400.00 adoption fee will include his Vet checked, neutering, worming, Home Again micro-chipped and registration, shots are up to date, heartworm tested negative and on a preventative.
Also included is his kennel, blankets, a new bed, lots of toys, a bag of dog food, treats, leash and collar along with LOTS of good information to help your adoption start off on the right "paw" forward.
And yes, I did shave his face. What a cute boy! The last picture shows how he felt about his new hair cut: "Hey! Do I look cool, or what?"
