My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LACIE

Love a lively little pixie?? Meet Lacie! Originally found wandering with another dog (Dezi, who we suspect is her son) in Utah, this tiny smooth coated girl was never claimed, and is now looking for her perfect forever home through WBCR. Lacie is a spunky, very loving little gal, 4 years old, just pint sized, but full of personality!

Lacie is a happy, outgoing girl. She enjoys people - especially if she can give them kisses! She is quite a kisser, and will jump up to smooch them any chance she gets. She enjoys being a part of her foster family’s activities and cuddle time at night. She is wonderful with the toddler in the home. She gets along with the six other dogs she lives with, and is very playful with other dogs, running around and wrestling. She does, however, get a little herdy with one of them, and can be a little bossy with some, like many female BCs. She is starting to show interest in toys. She has done well with the families’ indoor and outdoor cats, but is interested in the goats and sheep at her foster home – herding instinct unknown. Lacie enjoys going for outings and is a moderate energy girl who will do best with a good chunk of exercise daily. When Lacie was found, her foot was injured – we suspect she was caught in a trap. Her foot has healed up, and she no longer favors it, but it remains a little flattened.

This bright girl is housetrained, crate trained, and familiar with the basics. She comes when called and walks nicely on a leash. Lacie can jump quite high, as well as squeeze through little spaces, so she cannot be left unattended in a fenced yard. In her foster home she is a little too busy to have free roam of the house yet during the day, but she settles down quietly on her dog bed in the bedroom at night.

All in all, Lacie is a complete joy who is sure to make a delightful canine companion for some lucky family. Given her sunny nature, she is suitable to a variety of circumstances, including families with gentle kids – Lacie is too small for rough playing. Lacie will be happiest in a family who make her a full member of the family and include her – and where there is at least one other playful dog too! If you are looking for a fun, well-adjusted girl, Lacie may be the one for you.

Lacie is spayed, up to date on shots, and living in a loving foster home near SLC, UT.
