Daisy is very affectionate and greets dogs and their owners at the Dundas dog park. She loves greeting people with a jump onto the lap and lots of kisses. At first she shies away from very young children who want to walk up to her. She has been good with the older children when they are outside playing. She has not had lots of exposure to children but with more socialization I think she would be fine.
She loves going to the dog park and playing with all dogs of different sizes. She was nervous at first and had her tail between her legs but within a few mins she was playing and wrestling with her new 4 legged friends. She loves to rough house with our dog and run around the house with him. She loves to play with dog toys, especially the ones that squeak. She loves going for her walks and car rides. She loves to play and roll around with our dog. She loves to give kisses and snuggle. Daisy is young and still acts like a puppy in that she loves to play. She is generally very quiet in the house but will bark sometimes when she is playing.
She does not steal food unless our dog leaves something that he is not interested in. She does watch us eat with our dog and yes sometimes I do give her little bits of food while I am eating, my fault. She is still teething and does like to chew so lots of good things to chew on would be a treat for her. She is getting much better with her basic commands. She is sitting better on command, and she comes when called. She was not house trained when she came into our care but is doing much better and is well on her way to being fully house trained. We have not used a crate for Daisy while she has been in our care so for a pup she is very well behaved in the home. She loves going for car rides.
She would need a yard to run in and finish being house breaking –when she needs to go she will so it is best to either crate her or have someone who is home to let her out frequently. She would do well with another dog. I am not sure that she would do well with very young children since she has not had a lot of exposure to them. She does sleep on the bed with us so hopefully the new owners would allow this. We keep our furniture covered and she has been allowed on the couch.
