Stanley is an amazing pure bred GSD. He is estimated to be around 4 1/2 years old. Stanley came into rescue a year ago in July 2012. He was wandering the streets of Arlington searching for scraps of food and any shelter he could find. A wonderful couple that saw him on the streets in their neighborhood contacted us with DFW GSR and we immediately went out to see him. While we were getting things together so that we could properly approach and catch a stray GSD a little girl that was with the rescue jumped out of the car and walked right over and wrapped her arms around his neck. From that point on Stanley was caught! He followed that little girl to the car and jumped in.
When Stanley first came into rescue he was emaciated from malnutrition, had flea dermatitis, and had a heavy case of heartworms. Stanley has since been fed, spoiled and given a ton of TLC. Along with being neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for heartworms. Stanley is officially heartworm Negative! He is finally ready to find a home of his very own!
Stanley is an easy going and fun loving dog. He gets along with everyone he meets. He especially loves kids. Stanley is housebroken and crate trained. He has wonderful house manners and lives to cuddle.
