Im a petite (5lb), approximately 6 years old, maltese named Gracie, who now needs a new furever home b/c my family decided they no longer wanted me. My foster family is great and is giving me lots of good food, kisses, and lap time, but I really really want a family of my very own. I was extremely matted, but was recently groomed-they had to completely shave me down to the skin. I am housetrained (crate trained), like being carried like a baby when held, love car rides, and enjoy curling up on the back portion of the couch. The more time I spend in my foster home, the more affectionate I get (Im even seeking out attention by the teenage human sister). Although I am in a home with a bunch of foster siblings, I tend to stay by myself - but I have tried playing with a big goofy black poodle a few times. So a home with no other or a small number of canine kids is best. Im not a big fan of toys or dog beds (couches and human beds are better). I love giving you kisses/licking your face at times, and when Im feeling snuggly will seek out your lap. I do tend to "talk" (make growling sounds without showing teeth, whine/whimper when you aren't near me, etc). My foster mom says I need an experienced dog owner as I do growl (and show teeth when I do) and when provoked by the human or other canine sibling during the growling, I may bite.
