SISSY's Story...
This little girl is the top shelf in Dogdom; calm, loving and just a baby doll. Sissy was once a lovely elderly lady’s girl who then had to go to a nursing home and could no longer be in a home. The family was taking Sissy to the dreadful dead end shelter in their town. But a CCR volunteer heard about this, said “NO WAY”, and took her in. Sissy is 2 years old and weighs just 20 pounds. She is a Beagle mix (mostly Beagle) and is as adaptable as you would ever need. She walks like a Westminster dog on a leash, is compliant, calm and quiet. We don’t suggest a home with very young children, as Sissy has come to a place in her life that needs more stability and less noise. A retired or empty nesting couple would be great. She is not a chewer and not a destructive gal. She is perfection and love. Give this girl a home, and your life will be forever changed! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

SISSY, a Salem Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Salem, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
