Janie's Story...
Janie is a tri-colored, senior gal whose owners dumped her at the shelter in Polk County. She is healthy and has had all of her shots. She gets along great with her foster brother and is very spunky for her age. In fact, she can usually outrun her foster brother when they are chasing each other around the house, even though he is younger. She is extremely sweet and good-natured. She follows her foster mom around the house - sitting in front of her to get petted as soon as she sits down. Janie might have a bit of arthritis in her hips, but she is very playful and gets around well. She wasn't housebroken, but she has now learned to go outside. She gets along with other dogs and all sorts of people. Janie is healthy and ready for a forever family.

  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
