Cheddar's Story...
CHEDDAR is a 3.5 year old male sweetheart and everyone loves him!!! He has the friendliest personality and his coat is super soft and very vibrantly orange! Cheddar is such an exceptionally special baby that even though he has an injury to his back right leg that keeps him from bearing weight on it, shelter personnel wanted to give him a chance at finding a forever home. Although he is cautious with it, he is still very playful. Please consider adopting a "slightly" special needs kitty with a very special personality! He will bring a smile to your face and brighten every day. Come by and see him today!!!

Upon adoption, Cheddar will be neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee has been sponsored by Chubby's. You can submit an adoption application at Please TEXT 361-816-9251for more information. You can visit Cheddar at Corpus Christi Animal Control at 2626 Holly Road. Adoption Hours are Mon-Fri 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm and Saturday 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Make sure you ask for a PAAC volunteer when you go visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheddar, a Corpus Christi Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Corpus Christi, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Corpus Christi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corpus Christi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corpus Christi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corpus Christi paves the way for another one to be saved.
