Ellie's Story...
09/28/13: Ellie Is a Typical Energetic Boxer Puppy

Ellie is a beautiful 8 month old white boxer who ended up in a shelter due to a serious family situation. Poor Ellie was not being cared for properly for months and we are very happy that she is now in our Rescue program.
Although Ellie has not had much previous experience with other dogs she is now interacting with multiple dogs who are teaching her how to play appropriately. She is a little rough at play right now but she is getting better every day. She also never had much direction in the behavior department so we are working to teach her some self control.

Ellie is a typical energetic boxer puppy who needs positive direction and we will make sure she is getting what she needs. Whoever adopts Ellie will need to have an understanding of the needs of a boxer puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ellie, a Sunderland Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Sunderland, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Sunderland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sunderland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sunderland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sunderland paves the way for another one to be saved.
