My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gizelle, the gazelle, is the essence of fun and joy. Only around 10 months old, she weighs nearly 20 pounds and probably has a tiny bit of growing to do yet. We think we have her mix down pat as we just recently successfully adopted a dog out that could have been her twin and that was the mix.

Smart, loving, energetic, and did I mention smart? Gizelle could probably be trained to do agility too.She does well on leash and in a crate too. Some older dogs find her joyfulness slightly irritating but almost all of the dogs in her foster home can't resist her playful spirit and join in.

Gizelle is crate and house-trained and pretty good on leash too though not perfect yet.

If you are looking for a dog that is bigger than small, but not too big, then Gizelle might just be the dog for you. Please go to our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, click on "Resources" and then "Application" to complete and submit the application if you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this lovely young girl.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
