Information:

October 1, 2013: Wonder is a wonderful little boy who was turned over to BDRA from a breeder in Arkansas. The breeder was unable to sell him as a hunting dog since he was blind, so they signed him over to BDRA to find him a loving home. If I didn't have three labs of my own, I would be keeping him! Wonder is house trained, although he has had a few pee accidents which are to be expected at his age. Wonder is also crate trained.

When we are not home and at bedtime Wonder stays in his crate and he does very well.
Wonder does very well with other dogs, too. As I mentioned, I have three labs and he is always playing with them. I also have a toddler that he does pretty well with, but I do believe he would do better in a home with older children since he does jump up and can knock over smaller children.

Wonder has tons of energy!! He would benefit from a home that has a human companion home throughout the day and can give him lots of attention. A fenced-in yard would be best.

Wonder does have lots and lots of energy but he also loves his cuddle time! By the end of the night he just wants to curl up in bed with you. He especially loves belly rubs!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wonder, a Madison Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Madison, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
