My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dottie is a 3 year old Pitbull/Boston Terrier mix that came to rescue from a kill shelter in southern Iowa. She loves people and follows her humans everywhere she can. She loves to give kisses and cuddles! Dottie loves to sit next to you on the couch and sleep with you at night. Think of her as your own personal space heater! J Dottie loves to go for walks and is very good on a leash. She does not pull and even will lag behind sometimes, wanting to sniff and explore everything. She has been walked by a 10 year old and behaved like an angel! She loves to run around the yard and chase her squeaky toy. She will need a fenced yard in which to run and play. A privacy fence is best. As she was picked on by other dogs before she came to us, we feel that she would do best as the only dog in her adoptive home. Dottie has learned basic manners. She learns new things very quickly! She would be good with older children, probably age 10 and up as she gets very excited and likes to greet new people by jumping and giving big sloppy kisses. She is housetrained, and will sleep through the night without needing to go out to potty. Dottie has lots of energy and would be the perfect dog for someone who can take her on frequent walks and make time to play with her. She is extremely loyal and will love anyone who loves her back. This dog’s adoption fee is $225. Adopters must live within 150 miles or 3 hours drive of the Quad City area.
