Mona Lisa's Info...

Mona Lisa's Story...
Mona Lisa is a work in progress. We don't know much about her past but by the way she acts it has not all be a bed of roses for her. Mona is shy with new people. She has a gentle personality but prefers women. She allows the man of the house to live there but refuses to welcome him with open paws. However, she is slowly being won over by the man at her foster home. Mona was born in 2011 so is a 2 year old. She seems to be more comfortable outside where she feels safer. Mona needs home with patience and love. Given enough of both, this girl will become a wonderful companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona Lisa, a Melbourne Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
