My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Tuffy.... Our newest arrival from the STL area. So take a look at this cute guy. We were told he was a shepherd mix... but it looks more like a border collie/shepherd mix. So not really being around the Border Collies, this is a whole new experience for our rescue, and for Tuffy too. This lad is about 9-10 months old and weighs about 32lbs. He will not be more than 40lbs when full grown. He is shy at first with strangers, new surroundings, car rides, etc. But here in foster care, he is learning to adjust and each day it gets better. He lost his home because of a new baby coming. After having Tuffy for a few weeks, we feel a home without kids would be recommended. But, you better have the energy and patience to work with this little guy, cause when he wants to play, it's no stopping him. He was around cats and the foster cat was boxing with him the other day. The cat got into Tuffy's crate and they just laid down together and boxed. He does take direction from older, well mannered dogs, and by the time he leaves his foster home, we suspect he will thinking like a shepherd :-).
