Prince's Info...

I am purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Prince's Story...
This is Prince, a twelve year old purebred Yellow Lab who lost his home in the Colorado floods.

Up until now, Prince was an outdoor dog, and received no health care during that time. Amazingly, he is in excellent shape. Prince is also amazingly sweet and gentle, welcoming everyone he meets happily. He did live with another dog (3 year old who has already been rehomed), and is undergoing dog-compatibility testing (so far, he has done well). He has not been tested with cats or kids, but testing could be arranged.

Prince would love to have a home in which he could have access to a fenced-in backyard. He would also love someone to take him walking (or hiking), and who would have patience with him through the housetraining process (he has learned within a week not to pee inside, but he will need just a little more work to make sure).

If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing Prince, email for contact info. This is a crosspost.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prince, a Denver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
