Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When you think of the South what comes to mind? A Southern Bell by chance? That’s me, Gracie! Family Dogs was kind enough to bring me and my BFF Lacey all the way from a sanctuary in Mississippi. It was a lovely place to be, but there were limited options for adoption. So now being in Portland I am looking very forward to finding my forever family! When I was originally found in Mississippi I was dragging a chain attached to my collar, which I had been wearing so long that it was embedded in my throat and had sliced it open. Somehow I survived and here I am – very excited for my future! I’m a bit shy and wary sometimes when I first meet new people, but warm up quickly. I love other dogs and would do best to have a dog friend. I am still adjusting to a home environment and learning my house manners. However I am very good about pottying outside, although sometimes I need my person to accompany me as I get nervous. I’m working on building my confidence, have learned that toys are a lot of fun and cars are wonderful! They are warm, safe and cozy. I could ride around all day! Just as your finest Southern Bell, I am pretty, sweet and smart. I’m eager to please, want to share my love and live a life of comfort and sanctuary. Would you like a little southern charm in your day?
