Meet Sophie, a ten-year-old girl with the energy level of a six- or seven-year-old. She is a total wiggle butt! Sophie is smart and wants to please, and she is her foster mom's shadow. She is a wonderful companion who wants to be included in all household activities. Sophie becomes anxious when she can't find her people.
Sophie enjoys swimming in the lake and going for pontoon rides. She is food driven, and she loves treats. She gets along well with the resident Springer in her foster home.
Sophie bonds strongly with one person and feels the need to protect that person. She responds favorably to women but not as well to men, especially a man with a hat or cap on, so she may do best in a one-person female household.
This pretty girl is crate trained and is good in her crate when her foster mom is gone. Sophie gets upset when she is left alone out of her crate in the house. She sleeps on her foster mom's bed at night, but she would sleep in her crate if necessary.
Sophie knows the commands Come, Down, No, and Off, and she comes when her name is called. She does not walk well on a leash yet, but she is working on that skill.
Sophie would love to be a lap dog with lots of tummy rubs. She is looking forward to a wonderful new home where she will be the sidekick!
