Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Although we'll all be sad to see her go, everyone will be thrilled when Danica is adopted because she's been with us for quite a while. And to be honest, we haven't pushed very hard to get her adopted because she has been so incredible at greeting new dogs at the shelter and showing them the ropes.
Danica is known as the "Queen of the Dog Room." When new dogs are introduced at the Dog Playroom, which is our open range room for dogs who have been with us for a while, Danica is one of the first to greet them, and she shows them the ins and outs, like how to get the most treats and how to lay in the big window to watch the cars go by as the sunlight hits you.
She has helped older dogs relax in the shelter environment, and she's taken young pups under her wing and mothered them when they're missing their real moms.
But Danica deserves a home of her own where she can be loved and cherished, so it's time to watch her move on.
We believe Danica is a Beagle/Shepherd mix. She weighs in around 45 pounds with a bit of a thicker build. Sometimes she gets teased for looking a bit like a sausage, but despite her round appearance, she can fly like the wind when she run in the Play Yard, so don't be fooled.
Check out her Play Yard video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1HMgz2_B1U
You can meet Danica at the shelter any time during adoption hours, Thursday through Sunday 5 to 8pm, or call 330-397-8270 to schedule an appt for another day or time. She is already spayed, heartworm tested, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped, so she's ready to start her new life.
