Stevie's Story...
Stevie and Wonder were born to a homeless kitty mom in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. A kind human took the pregnant, friendly mom in and offered her food and board. There were three kittens, two of which got adopted. We still have Stevie. (Stevie was born with defected eyes and then had bad conjunctivitis but his eyes were treated and are improving steadily. He can see quite well and enjoys his life a lot. He is the happiest kitten we have met in a long time!

Stevie is super friendly and very sweet. He loves other cats, kittens and people. But he REALLY ADORES dogs (having been fostered with 3 dogs since early kittenhood).

We require an adoption fee and check references.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stevie, a Brooklyn American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
