Fluffy's Story...
Fluffy is a mature Calico about 12 years old, who despite her age, size, and arthritis is an active girl. She loves to explore. She's a sweet older gal who needs a quiet home to live out her senior years. Fluffy loves to lie in the sun or follow you around the kitchen. She would enjoy a window to sit in the sun and primp and preen – Fluffy keeps herself immaculately clean and it is a clearly a big priority of hers. She also enjoys finding dark cabinets to go into the back of to lie in quiet. She enjoys short petting and brushing sessions and is a big fan of catnip. She also loves lots of chin scratches and gentle kisses to the top of her head. She lets you know when she's had enough attention. She's a very mellow.

Fluffy prefers to be the dominant cat in the household and once she's established that she is quite content around other cats. She is fine with calm dogs, as she puts dogs into their place ASAP!!! We feel she would do best in a quiet home without small children.

Fluffy is vaccinated, tested negative for FIV, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fluffy, a Berkeley Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
