My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born around the beginning of June 2013, Sonja is just a terrific, well rounded pup! She loves to run and play with the other dogs in our rescue and gets along with the cats too! Sonja has been raised with children and does very well with them - a perfect family dog!

Sonja overcome so much in her short life. Thrown away with their litter mates and mom, they ended up in a high kill shelter. A high kill shelter where they were given medications that weren’t appropriate for pups so young. Medications that damaged their teeth. It’s very likely that their teeth will need to be cleaned twice a year.

Does any of that change who she is? Does that make her in any way less valuable than other dogs? Does any of that change her desire to love people and have a family of her own to love her in return?

We want Sonja to have that same chance at happiness. But she continues to wait. Circle of Hope believes so strongly that the perfect home is out there waiting that we’re willing to reduce her adoption fee when the perfect family finds her. Are you willing to love Sonja in spite of her past?

Puppies this age become what new owners mold them into. They are sweet, loving, happy, and eager to learn. They need to be taught and trained. They look at other animals as playmates. It is up to new owners to keep them animal friendly and turn them into wonderful family pets.
