Raisin's Story...
SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE!

Raisin is a 7-month-old Whippet/Terrier mix and who has the appearance of a tiny Lab mix. Super smart, she learned how to sit, roll over and lay down with treats, in less than 20 minutes in the shelter play yard when we were doing our assessment. Weighing less than 20 lbs, this is a small dog with the mind of a big dog. She loves to play, loves to chase and had a blast in the play yard at the shelter with another small dog. She would make a wonderful dog park type dog. She is very connected to people, has a gentle submissive personality so she would be an excellent choice for a family with young children. Raisin is a dog that would be easily overlooked in a large shelter setting because she is black, small and very quiet but given the opportunity to run around and show her stuff in a play yard, what a different dog, full of fun and play! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raisin, a Los Angeles Whippet/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Whippet/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Whippet/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
