My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finn is a beautiful, 1 year old blue merle Australian Shepherd. He came into rescue with a broken back leg injury and it has since been repaired, healed and he is back to normal as if nothing had ever happened. He is running, playing and carrying on just like any other normal dog! He is doing great in fostercare and is learning good house manners. He is housetrained & crate trained. He currently knows the commands sit and shake. He is playful and very affectionate and a smart, eager to learn young boy. Finn will occasionally drag a shoe or item of clothing off but has not been destructive in the home. He sleeps on his dog bed next to the bed at night and does well crated while his foster parents are away. He does great with all other dogs and has done very well with cats in his fosterhome. Sharing his toys with other dogs has also not been any problem. Finn is an active boy who will do best in a home with people who lead a decently active lifestyle. He loves to play with balls, toys of all kinds and loves to run. This breed is not one to lay around and not need for exercise. We do prefer that he go to a home with a fenced yard for play. Finn will not be a good match for a home with children. He does not care to be around kids and we prefer not to place him in a home with children. He is also slightly shy when first meeting new people but within minutes of introduction he is sharing his sweet, affectionate kisses of approval once he knows all is well! He loves to love and loves to be loved. Finn is up to date on all vaccines, hw negative, neutered, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick prevention & hw prevention. Email info@FORrescue.net if you are interested and we will put you in touch with his foster home.
