CHARLIE's Story...
sweet Charlie was dropped off at the shelter by his "family" on October 23rd. He is understandably very scared and confused. His owners didn't bother leaving any information on him, not even his name! We thought Charlie suited him well so that's the name we gave him. We do know that he's a 2 year old Chihuahua that weighs 8 lbs and LOVES to be held and carried around. This sweetheart definitely belongs in a loving home where he can be spoiled and adored. Come meet him and get some cuddle time in, you won't regret it! Charlie is current on his vaccines and will be neutered, micro chipped and heart worm tested upon adoption. His ID # is 560957 and he can be found in cage T3.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt CHARLIE. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHARLIE, a Marietta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
