My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little cutie is Percy (should be Purrcy if you ask me, but no one did) ~ we guesstimate his birthday as 7/20/13; a dumpy manx ~ no tail (http://www.catster.com/cat-breeds/Manx)

He was brought into the clinic in early September after being found in the middle of a busy intersection in Rainsville. Proud daughter, Jennifer, said her Dad stopped traffic to rescue the little guy...how awesome is he!!

He has already had some vet work done; he was came to us skin and bones and he literally pooped crushed up bones. You know life was rough for this little guy!!

Today he is a huge purr machine...all you have to do is pick him up and he starts purring ~ he knows he's safe in great hands!!

Because he is a tailless manx, he is having some difficultly controlling his bowel movements. We are working with him diligently to optimize the dosage of Miralax given to him...not too much (diarrhea) and not too little (constipation).

This is why we feel he needs a home where he can be the center of attention and literally be "someone's baby." He will need patience and understanding because he does leave this surroundings with some "butt prints" once in awhile. Baby wipes and Fizzion cleaner...two things to keep on hand.

Purrcy is playful and energetic...he loves to investigate his surroundings and know what is going on at all times. He gets along great with other cats too but he should do well as an only as long as he gets lots of attention and playtime...maybe a retiree or person who works from home??

He is simply a joy to be around and he has no idea that he isn't purrfect...he just wants to belong to someone and be loved...it really isn't too much to ask. If you are at all interested but are concerned about his "special needs" destination, please contact the clinic and talk to Dr. Gandy or Dr. Maasen...they can talk to you in depth about Purrcy and what he needs and what you can expect if you adopt him.
