Dozer's Story...
"Hi! My name is DOZER, and I'm a loving Boxer mix fellow who's looking for a new home. I'm five years old, so I'm over all of that puppy stuff. I'm looking for a person or a family who wants to hang out with me and love me forever. I'm pretty mellow, and I love to be brushed and petted. I'd do best in a home where the kids are older, and I'd love to have a daily walk. I'd need a yard in my new home, and I'd want to have a nice, comfy dog bed in the house so that I can be near my person or family. I get along well with other dogs who are on the larger side, so maybe you have a dog that needs a buddy. I promise to be your devoted friend, and isn't that what it's all about? I've already been house trained, and I know how to sit on command. Please come visit me at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. I have an impressive physique that can best be appreciated in person. Just ask our helpful shelter staff if we can spend some time together in the shelter play yard. That way you can see what a good boy I am. I hope to see you soon! Love, Dozer" Kennel #21

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dozer, a El Cajon Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
