Hi there! Nice to meet you, I’m Chandler. I’m one of the new guys at NBSAR! I also look pretty dashing in my hat, don’t you think? I’m hoping it might help me meet someone new – because I’m looking to find a forever family! I’m a very good boy and one of four, 10 month old poodle/bichon mixes that were removed from a “hoarding house” by the doggy police. That was a pretty terrible place, as we didn't get the veterinary care, nutrition or attention that us puppies thrive on. Then I stayed at the Allegan shelter, and that was overwhelming too. Soon though, a wonderful person at NBS came to our rescue – and just knew me, and my siblings could make some lucky families the happiest people ever. At first – I was super-shy, and very unsure of what to think of all of the changes.
Now I’m feeling pretty confident, and have been playing tag with the other fosters in the yard, chasing toys and having a lot of fun! I’m also getting an “A” in potty training, and know how to “sit” pretty good too. I’m very smart, and would love to have a family that would teach me tricks and take me for walks. Oh – I’d also really appreciate it if they know how to give belly rubs and cuddle up. It is getting cold out, and it’d be nice to share the warmth!
Even though I haven't met my family yet – I have met some wonderful people so far. You see, in the shelter, all four of us were really dirty, matted, flea-covered and kinda stinky… but thanks to the NBS supporters, we all had wonderful sponsors to help with our grooming! The NBSAR group made sure we all have had our shots, are Heartworm negative, are flea-tick-free, and are fixed! How great is that!?
Now that I’m looking good, I've got my hat, a wagging tail – and am out to find my fur-ever home. Do you or someone you know need a happy-go-lucky fella like me in their life? If you do – please share my information so I can find a loving home!

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.
You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
