Maya's Story...
This 3 legged wonder proves that it does not take all four paws to capture your heart!

Maya is a 2 year old husky born with a deformed front leg leaving her with only 3 functioning legs to conquer this world, and boy is she well on her way!

As a victim of her family's circumstance, Maya was surrendered to the shelter because her family was downsizing and unable to take her along. Now the search begins for a family where Maya will fit in perfectly

Despite the hand Maya has been dealt she lives everyday with a smile on her face, loving those around her and excited to experience all that is out there waiting for her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Muskegon Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Muskegon, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Muskegon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muskegon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muskegon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muskegon paves the way for another one to be saved.
