My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Copper: 3 year old bloodhound/redbone coonhound mix 75 lbs good with most dogs/people/older kids adoption fee $150

"Give him a toy and you'd think he won the lottery! There's nothing Copper likes better; he has quite a toy fetish! He likes to carry them around, shake them, run with them, bury them, unbury them, sleep with them ... any plaything will do! It's especially amusing given that he is a rugged and handsome boy; you wouldn't expect to see him get gooey eyed at the sight of a stuffed pink pig - but it happens! At 75 lbs, he's a big fellow who has the ungainly (but charming) trot and deep woof (we love it!) of a bloodhound without the slobbering or complete scent focus that often goes along with the breed. Copper, so named because of his beautiful reddish gold coloring, is confident and takes everything in stride; he doesn't get ruffled by strange people, dogs or situations. He has learned how to play with his canine companions and revels in roughhousing and wrestling around the play yard. He is strong-willed and a bit stubborn so will need to have a home with structure and rules. Because of this and his large size, we don't recommend putting him in a home with very small children. Copper's adoption fee is $175; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations."
