My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CONFETTI - Cute name for adorable spayed female piebald dachshund. Confetti is still a puppy at 7.5 months of age. Her Mom is getting a divorce and is unable to give her the care and attention Confetti deserves. According to her Mom, Confetti is a very friendly dog and would not bite a soul Confetti loves to run and would be a great agility dog, she is a very quick learner and when asked, she rolls over and it's for training bites! Confetti uses piddle ads indoors and also goes outside to potty. Confetti is a very healthy dog and is also a very happy dog! Her Mom's sadness at losing her will be somewhat offset by knowing that we will find the perfect home for Confetti. Will your home be her forever place?

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.

All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.

Can you give her a happy, carefree life that she deserves? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net - the adoption committee will be in touch with you within 48 hours so please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
