My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helloooooo ladies and gents! Buddy’s the name and sweetness is my game. Last name’s California. Why California, you ask? Well, besides my movie star looks it’s mainly because I love to lounge outside in the fall sun (not so keen on this Oregon rain) plus I came all the way here from Cali and I love to surf – counter surf, that is! That’s right – I love food and I’ll help you clean off the counter if you don’t do it yourself. I’m helpful that way, but I’m learning my efforts may not be appreciated so best to keep four paws on the floor. The best thing about my move from Cali to Oregon is that it gave me a chance to show all kinds of new people how amazing I am! Seriously – I charm people wherever I go. I might be cautious as first but once I get to know and love you I’ll give you a hero’s welcome every time you walk through the door! I came with a pretty good education and have some awesome tools under my belt. I’m smart and know several commands, I’m a dream at the vet, I love to give kisses and I’m easy to bathe. I’m also very treat motivated so there’s probably no end to the cool things I could learn. Oh yeah – did I mention I’m also a great traveler and crate trained? In fact, my foster parents leave a crate open for me and sometimes I just go in there to nap during the day. I love to get outside and exercise so if you jog I’d be a great partner, or even if you like to go on long walks, I’m your guy. I’ll probably run some fast laps around the yard on occasion to burn off energy but I’m also happy napping on a comfy bed or couch. I’m pretty good on leash (until I see a squirrel and then all bets are off) but could use continued positive training in that department. I’m also great with other respectful dogs but I like to chase so probably need a home without cats or small animals. I have a Rottie foster sister and we get along great. Overall, I’m a pretty chill guy and I continue to amaze my foster family every day. I’m ready for my forever home where I’ll be a cherished family member and showered with love. If that’s you, then give me a ring!
