Posh (foster)'s Story...
Oh my gosh – I’m Posh!  And true to my name I am pretty and popular!  I love everyone and they seem to love me too!  I wiggle from head to toe when I meet someone new or see my people, even if they have only been out of the room for a minute.  I also adore other dogs and am even good with cats!  My foster mom says I have a nice mix of energy, I can jog with the best of them, but am also happy to just curl up.  I am house and crate-trained, know my basic commands, have good leash skills - making me a great walking buddy and also am a fabulous co-pilot in the car!  I even got to go to work with my foster mom and spent the day curled up in her big chair, when I wasn’t meeting and greeting people.  I’ve come along way since my sad days as a stray dog lost and lonely on the streets.  I am so excited about the thought of my forever family and look forward to waking up every morning knowing I get to share the day’s experiences with someone I love and who loves me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Posh (foster), a Portland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
