My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

May I introduce myself? My name is Serenity and I am a pit bull – Labrador cross. My foster mum says I am a beautiful dog but I think she is biased. I was born up north and had a rough start but thankfully New Hope got to me in time and I had the “snipâ€%9D and my shots. My foster mum thinks I am about 16 to 20 weeks old as I still have a lot of baby teeth. I don’t chew much but I do like to chew on everyone else’s bones or Dentastix. Right now I live with a pack of dogs and I take my orders like a puppy should. When my mum has a teaching session, I admit it takes a while before I look at what it is she wants me to do as there is so much out there that is exciting and smelling good. My day consists of going for walks off leash and I stay with the pack and don’t want to run off, my appetite is fierce as I am growing. Mum realizes this so feeds me separate from the others. I reckon the Labrador genes must be the strongest as I can eat everyone’s else’s food as well as my own. Of a night, I lay on the couch with all four feet stuck in the air as my mum strokes my tummy. Then we all go to bed, I don’t like the crate but once in I settle down and have not made a noise since I have been here.

House training is going well, I have had a few accidents here and there but mum takes us all out every two hours and praises me to high heaven when I do my business. I don’t take any notice of the birds in our house and I like the kids next door. When they pet me my tails wags so much I can often fall down.

On Thursday I went to the old folks home and everyone thought I was a “sweetieâ€%9D. I didn't jump up on anyone and let them pet me.
Mum is working on my jumping up by the way but I am so enthusiastic that I can’t help myself.

If I were to go to a forever home, I would like to go to one where there are other playmates, a fully fenced yard as I like to race around for hours, and someone who loves walking. Mum is working on a movie of me a will post it as soon as it is ready.
