My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Knox is a happy, well-rounded dog. He is happy about life and shows it. Knox has had many different experiences in his young life, and he loves them all. He’s adapted very well to a new foster home and would love to settle into a forever home! Knox plays well with all different kinds of dogs: big and small, male and female. He absolutely loves children. He doesn’t know his own strength and is just a fun happy puppy, but as with all dogs, any interactions between children and dogs should be supervised. Knox is housetrained, and is working on his crate training. He wants to be by your side at all times, but he’s learning that the crate can be a good place to hang out when that isn’t possible. Knox will become a Velcro dog to his forever family – he just wants to be by your side and go on any adventure with you.

Knox is a strong puppy with lots of energy. He likes to burn off that puppy energy with a nice walk, and with the assistance of an Easy Walk Harness, he walks like a dream. Although he has energy for days, he does know when it is time to play, and when he needs to settle down. Knox is a smart dog, and learns quickly. He is eager to please his person and learn new things, especially if treats are involved. He already knows “Sit,” “Down,” “Shake,” “Stay,” and “Come.” With a little bit of work, he could easily learn many more tricks! Knox is so smart that he will ring a bell on the back door to signal that he needs to go outside, and then he patiently sits and waits until the door is opened for him.

Knox loves to play chase and wrestle with his foster siblings. He loves toys of all kinds whether they are hard, rubber, soft, squeaky or crackly. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but can happily make up a game to play by himself. When he is done playing, Knox is happy to just stretch out on the sofa and cuddle with you.

He is a good boy that sleeps all through the night without a fuss, and if he wakes up first Knox is happy to just hang out in his crate while he waits for the rest of the house to wake up. Knox likes peas, carrots, and other yummy treats and he will take them so gently with just his lips. He will alert to people at the front door, but is friendly when they come in the house. He rides very well in the car, and loves to go out to different places. Knox will let you give him a big long hug and touch his face, mouth/teeth, ears, tail, feet, and belly without a fuss – he just loves the attention!
His photos don’t do him justice. He is a beautiful dog with a soft, short coat. Knox has an expressive face with cute wrinkles in his forehead to let you know just how he feels. He is a confident dog, and always gives a big happy greeting to the people he loves. He is a true treasure and will give his all to a family willing to give him a forever home.
