Imagine wandering alone with your two older pups with a high fever and nothing to drink. That's the situation Blue was in when she was found and brought to a shelter in KY. She wasn't feeling well, she was dehydrated and had some kind of skin infection. When EARS found out about this they got some help from some rescue and transport friends to get Blue and her kids to us! And with good vet care, Blue is feeling much better!
Born in 2004, she's a sweet, friendly girl who loves attention, petting and cuddling. Blue gets along great with everyone she meets. She is very obedient and loyal too. At just 25 pounds, she's a nice medium-sized dog.
She would fit in well with all kinds of homes. She walks nicely and she really enjoys treats. She is excellent about staying right in the yard to do her business. She comes right back inside when you call her.
Being rescued once, making it out of the kill shelter alive, and over-coming her pneumonia and fever was a miracle for Blue. Now she needs another miracle-to be adopted! Please help Blue, she needs you!

You'€™ll get a pet who is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and healthy. As opposed to purchasing or getting a free to a good home pet, you'll welcome a fully-vetted companion animal in to your life.
Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of shelter pets are homeless through no fault of their own. Divorce, financial constraints, time limitations and NOT the animal's health &/or behavior are the most common reasons an animal is left homeless.
You'€™ll save money. Many pets in the shelter system are already spayed or neutered and if not, shelters often receive a discount from their participating veterinarian and passes the savings on to the adoptive family. Also, adoption fees are much less expensive than buying from a breeder or pet store.
