Meet lovely, lively Britt in this short video!
From Britt's foster mom: Britt's original owner of thirteen years has recently gone through a life change and now has to be gone from home many hours each day. Vet records show that Britt has been well cared for since she was a puppy. Giving her up was a very difficult decision, but one that was made with Britt's welfare in mind.
Britt has found ways to defy her age. She has the body and mobility of a much younger dog. She has good teeth and good ears, as long as they are kept clean with a weekly ear rinse. She does not exhibit significant hearing loss. Britt loves to go for walks and is still as curious and full of life as a young puppy! She pulled on the leash at first, but after a few minor corrections, she no longer pulls at all.
This girl is always happy. She likes to be with her people. She will follow them around the house, but she does not get underfoot. Britt loves people of all ages, and she is a kisser! She gives gentle kisses and gentle ear nibbles that make me giggle.
Britt takes treats gently in a one-to-one situation. She knows the commands Sit and Shake-a-Paw. She likes attention. If she wants attention but you are not giving her any, she might do something naughty like chew on some item she normally wouldn't chew on. So it's best to give in and give her some loves!
A beautiful, long, soft tail distinguishes this pretty girl. She is a sweet, non-dominant female who tries to befriend other dogs. She may even get rowdy and playful in the backyard, and she runs with joy. Britt hasn't shown any interest in balls or other toys. She is simply interested in being with you!
To be honest, I think Britt is a perfect little gal. It is a joy to spend time with her. If you would like to share your days with Britt, please contact us at the e-mail address below.
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Britt.
