My story

From Maxine's foster mom - Maxine is a 3lb Chihuahua who was found fighting for her life in a swimming pool. She was very traumatized and it took her awhile to trust people again. However, now she rules the house and has turned into a real sweetie. Maxine is not a morning dog – she likes to sleep in and get her breakfast late. She dislikes cold weather so she wears a sweater when it’s chilly outside. Maxine is OK with children but given her size she’d probably do better in a home with adults. Maxine is a cuddler and loves to sit on my lap to watch TV. She’s about 8 years old but has a lot of spunk. I could not believe that she figured out the doggie doors and can go in and out by herself. Maxine is house-trained and crate trained.
