Patricia's Story...
Patricia and Patrick are two very sad Standard Poodles. They have lost the only home they have ever known because there “dad” is sick and can no longer take care of them. We would like to get them a home together if at all possible since they have always been together. They are wonderful affectionate and loving dogs and to meet them is to fall in love with them. They are both 7 years of age, Patricia weighs 62 pounds and Patrick weighs 50 pounds. They would be an asset to any home, they are good with other dogs and people. If you can adopt or foster these sweet dogs please email fofadopt@nyc.rr.com or call 516.616.3076.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patricia, a Oakland Gardens Poodle (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Standard) for sale in Oakland Gardens, or seeking a Poodle (Standard) dog from a breeder in Oakland Gardens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland Gardens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland Gardens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Standard) breeders who help with Poodle (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland Gardens paves the way for another one to be saved.
