Howdy I'm Higgins and I'm smiling cause I'm so happy that I get to live in a foster home while I wait for my FUREVER family instead of a cage. I'm a handsome boy with a sweet face and demeanor. I am 2 years old and fully vetted. It is said that I am good with other dogs and had a kennel mate at the animal control I lived at before coming to P.O.E.T. I am a black lab/beagle mix and weigh about 30 lbs. I am a PERFECT size for most anyone! I love cuddling, playtime and toys. What's not to love?!?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Higgins, a Garden City Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
