It is someone’s lucky day. Fifteen month old O’Henry is back to being available. This sweet boy was supposed to be in a foster home for only a short vacation time period. His foster fell in love with him and begged to keep him. We were concerned about his being alone all day and being an only dog, but we reluctantly agreed. O’Henry’s new mom loved him but she soon realized we had been right. O’Henry is a young dog and he either needs a canine playmate or less time without a human home or both.
What a charmer O’Henry is! And so good looking -check out how he rocks his eyeliner! O'Henry came to us from a kind citizen that had taken in a stray pregnant dachshund. O’Henry was one of the puppies from the litter. Unable to find the perfect home she wanted for her favorite puppy, she asked rescue to help him
O’Henry is a very gentle dog. He is friendly with strangers although a little shy at first. He is great with all the other dachshunds in his foster home and loves, loves, loves to play. In foster care he has been wrestling and joining in on racetrack. He is very fast and often laps the lead dog!
O’Henry has a “soft” personality and we think he would be a good beginner’s dachshund. He needs a canine companion to play with and to keep him company when his people aren’t at home or he needs an owner who is around for much of the day. He Is not happy being by himself for 8+ hrs/day.
We have crate trained O’Henry and gotten him vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped..
