Here's what the humans have to say about me:
3/10/08 Chelsea has found her forever home in New England. You go girl!
3/5/08 Chelsea is traveling north very soon to meet her forever family. She will be sad not to travel with her brother (who turned up heartworm positive and has to stay for treatment) but she'll be SO happy to find her way to her new home!
UPDATE 1/14/08 : Check out new pictures! Chelsea absolutely LOVES to play fetch. As you can see, she is not very tall and not real fast (don't tell her though because she thinks she is!). She does very well with older children and listens well.
This dog is at our partner shelter in Arkansas or in foster care in Arkansas unless otherwise marked as "in Maine" or "In New England".
UPDATE 12/15/07: Come on folks- can't you see how adorable Chelsea is! Ok, so she has put on a few pounds (well she can't help it- she really needs a forever home where she can get more exercise!). She is a precious girl and will make a wonderful family pet. She could use a little training (jumps occasionally, but not all the time) as most dogs do. Chelsea is very smart She won't mind supporting any team by the way, so don't pass her over because of her bandana!
Update 10/22/07: Chelsea is doing really well in her foster home, but she needs a permanent home where she can get all the attention she deserves. Chelsea is crate trained and a very kind soul. She does this cute little waddle thing when she gets excited (she literally waddles while she wags her tail). Chelsea gets along well with other dogs and loves children too (at least older children). She is such a joy to have, but needs her forever home.
UPDATE 8/23/07: Her foster parent reports that she gets along well with other dogs and that she is crate trained (she loves to get a treat when she runs in her crate). She is a playful young girl. Since she is still a puppy, she will need to learn basic manners. Please don't make her go back to the shelter (after all she thinks she is home...).
Here's Chelsea! She came into the shelter with her brother, Clyde. They adore each other (thank goodness because it can be a very scary place at a shelter). They aren't very old at all (maybe 7 months?)and they have tons of love to give. We know they will be fantastic companions for someone!
