My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here is the last update from Halo's foster mom:
Halo met lots of people at the vets office yesterday and practiced not jumping on people. he's still not great, but he can contain himself for about 10 seconds before he needs another reminder that feet remain on the ground. baby talk completely does him in, he just can't help but leap at that point, but he's working on it. he's getting fairly automatic with his sit now and knows how to shake, which is very cute. he's put on a little weight and his coat is very shiny, he looks so handsome (and goofy, he just can't help it)!

4/19/08 Halo has made it into foster care in Arkansas to begin his heartworm treatment. Here is what his foster mom says, "Halo is doing great! He is just a sweetheart. I decided to introduce him to my dogs before his heartworm treatment, so there wouldn't be so much excitement afterwards, and they all did great. He still has his own room, but when we're all out hanging around, he gets to hang out with us. He certainly is playful and keeps us laughing."
3/14/08 Halo is going to be euthanized very soon if we can't find foster or adoptive home. He needs heartworm treatment too before coming north but someone has to step up and want him- poor baby. Please, if you can help him don't hesitate.
1/31/08: Halo has tested heartworm postitive and we need help on donations for his meds. Please considering donating to Halo's meds on his site! Halo is still waiting for his forever home! Please help!

1/14/08: Check out the new pics! Halo needs a doggy angel! This handsome boy has already been neutered and is still waiting for a forever home. Halo is very strong and will need some good training, but he is also very loving and affectionate. He does not belong in the shelter! Please consider fostering him until we can find him a forever home. FYI: There was a cat nearby during the pictures and Halo became excited (he does not always foam/drool like the picture shows).

12/07/07: Poor Halo was overlooked on picture posting day! He has been at the shelter for about 2 weeks now. He was wearing a collar and tags, however the information was outdated. Apparently, he has been left by his owners. Halo may be large, but he is just a big baby. This boy is sweet and playful at the same time. He deserves a chance and needs a doggy angel immediately!

This dog is at our partner shelter in Arkansas or in foster care in Arkansas unless otherwise marked as "in Maine" or "In New England".
