Darling Don's Story...
Hi! my name is Darling Don and I am looking for a loving, furever home. I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. I am very sweet and lovable. I get along great with other dogs and people. I am about a year old, 14 lbs, neutered, fully vetted and microchipped. I am located in Dedham, Mass. If you would like to meet me please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Please get you adoption applications in so that you can come to our meet and greets every Saturday from 9 - 3 and Sundays from 9 - 12. We also have meet and greets during the week by appointment. Can't wait to meet you. Love and Kisses, Don :)).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darling Don, a Brooklyn Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
