Cinnamon's Story...
This beautiful girl is Cinnamon, an 11 year old, Australian Shepard in need of a new place to call home. Cinnamon was adopted from MHS in 2013, and just recently returned. Her owners said the kids in the home where not very nice to her, but Cinnamon was very, very good with them anyways! She never showed any aggression, and took the discomfort of small hands pulling and tugging her very politely, without so much as even a grumble. Finally, unable or unwilling to make the kids stop constantly pestering Cinnamon, her family turned her in to be rehomed. She is a very sweet and good natured dog who deserves to live out her golden years in a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cinnamon, a Muskegon Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Muskegon, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Muskegon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muskegon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muskegon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muskegon paves the way for another one to be saved.
