My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beau! Great things really do come in small packages! Beau, an All American Mixed Rescue Dog , was found on the mean streets of Baltimore with serious wounds indicating that he was being used as BAIT to train fighting dogs. With the proper medical treatment and time to heal, he is ready to go to his forever home. With every thing Beau has been through, he is a total lovebug and happy, happy, happy! He actually grins! He wants nothing more than to spend time with you and be your shadow. He is a sturdy and solid dog (38 lbs) , approximately 2 yrs. old , that can curl himself into the tiniest ball and go to sleep right next to you. He doesn't care if it is the couch or your bed! He does snore, but then who doesn't!

Beau is very smart and highly trainable. He wants a job and wants to please. After basic obedience training, he would make a great agility dog or frisbee-catching dog! He is fearless, curious and an attention magnet with a huge personality . Beau loves dogs and children. He can have bursts of energy so he would probably be best adopted into home with older children and other dogs that are patient with puppy like tendencies. He is crate-trained and house-trained. He is also up-to-date on all of his shots and neutered, tested negative for Lyme disease and heartworm. His fecal and urine tests also came back negative. With all of the medical attention that Beau has received, he still loves going to the vet and is not afraid of shots or nail trims. He also LOVES car rides! Beau carries a large scar on his right side as a reminder to all of his previous life , and the great resiliency of our Canine Companions .

Beau is one special dog that needs a forever home. He will LOVE you and make you laugh out loud with his antics! When you meet this handsome boy you'll fall in LOVE!
