Sandi's Story...
Meet Sandi, a nice little girl, and the largest of her group, currently weighing in at a little over 5 pounds. We know mom was a medium-sized hound mix, and dad is unknown. Her adopter must be willing to take pot luck as far as her ultimate size and appearance.

Sandi is the leader of her group, confident, outgoing, assertive and very playful. She eats quickly and efficiently (and has therefore gained the nickname "Hoover", as in the vacuum :) However, since she's still very much a baby, she needs a family with a stay-at-home person to attend to her house-training and obedience training, and keep her well exercised and well-socialized.

You can meet Sandi at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

Sandi's birth date is 9/17/13 and her adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, deworming, microchip and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandi, a Mt. Prospect Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
