Augustus is male Wheaten Terrier/Bichon Frise mix only 1 year of age. He is a stout, sturdy boy weighing in at a hefty 25 pounds. Augustus has honey colored curls that are non-shedding and hypoallergenic. His coat is luxurious, high quality, thick and very soft. He is a gorgeous young dog with a handsome, masculine face and a perky tail that curls right up over his back. Augustus is excellent with people and truly adores spending time with those he knows and loves. He bonds easily to his humans and will be very loyal to you right away. Augustus is attentive and affectionate with lots of love to give. He is very eager to please and appears to be quite smart, picking up on new commands quickly. Augustus walks beautifully on leash and has a nice amount of energy to keep up with an active family. He is great with other dogs, although he really does prefer people above all else. He will follow you dutifully everywhere. Augustus is not a barker and is good inside the home. He will thrive being included in daily activities and eagerly hops in the car for a ride. Augustus was brought in stray to a very high kill shelter and due to volume overflow he was placed on the euthanasia list. Augustus was rescued on his very last day and we are so grateful and pleased to be able to give him a chance at a real life and future. He is a great young dog and really deserves it! He is going to make some person or family very happy. Augustus is healthy and ready for his new forever home today!

Augustus’s adoption donation is $375 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Augustus is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Mary B. and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

AUGUSTUS, a Newport Beach Wheaten Terrier/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier/Bichon Frise for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
