Astaire's Info...

I am purebred and good with dogs.

Astaire's Story...
Astaire, a very smart, beautiful Red Merle Aussie, was dumped in the country. He was covered with Cockle-burs when he arrived here. He is still pretty shy. He was not treated well before we got him that is for sure. I had to trick him into coming into the house to sleep last night. Then he acted like he was worried about getting in trouble. He is a very non-aggressive dog. He knows sit and hand shake. He is afraid to come when when called. I'm sure there was not a positive reward when he was called. I got the broom out this morning to clean the doggy room and he could not get out of here fast enough. Poor baby. He is very young. I would say between 6 months to 1 year. So I am going with 7 months. We'll know more when the vet gets him to be neutered.

He gets along with the other dogs.

We started him on De-wormer right away. Will give him the distemper/parvo vaccination today. He will get his rabies shot when he is neutered.

He was groomed yesterday and feels and looks much better.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Astaire, a MINNEAPOLIS Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in MINNEAPOLIS, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in MINNEAPOLIS.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in MINNEAPOLIS already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a MINNEAPOLIS breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in MINNEAPOLIS paves the way for another one to be saved.
